Title: Enhancement of Mississippi Soybean Variety Trials Through Entry Standardization

Objectives

Standardize entries at all locations in the Mississippi Soybean Variety Trials.

Significant Accomplishments

The Soybean Variety Trials were planted at six locations utilizing Group IV early and late, Group V early and late, and Group VI maturity groups. A total of 128 varieties were tested in 1997. Thirty seven MG IVS, 55 MG Vs and 36 MG VIs. In addition to the conventional test, two Roundup Ready tests were conducted at Stoneville and Mississippi State University with a total of 53 Roundup Ready lines representing MG IV-V.
